Senate Negotiators Closer to Agreement on Health Reform

Senate negotiators on health care reform have reportedly come closer to reaching a bipartisan deal.

Press Release Service – Wired PR News – Senate negotiators have reportedly stated they are closer to reaching a bipartisan agreement on health care reform. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the negotiators stated Monday that differences across party lines have narrowed in regards to critical issues being debated about a plan to ensure that all Americans have access to affordable health care.

Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla, is quoted by the AP as stating of the matter, “I am very optimistic that we are going to be able to pass a bill that will get us to 60 votes… I didn’t feel it a week-and-a-half ago, but I’m very optimistic now.”

As noted in the report, several meetings have been scheduled for lawmakers this week to discuss key aspects of the legislation.
