The University at Buffalo wants Barack Obama to know they’re a team he should have believed in.
Following Thursday’s upset win over Arizona in the NCAA Tournament, the official Twitter account of the Bulls took a shot at the former President after he predicted the Wildcats would defeat Buffalo.
“Sorry for busting your bracket,” the UB men’s basketball account tweeted.
Obama not only had Arizona winning, but he predicted the Wildcats would make it to the Sweet 16.
Many expected the Wildcats to make a deep run in the tournament, but the Bulls dominated the No. 4 seed in their first round matchup. The No. 13 Bulls knocked off Arizona 89-68 to advance to the second round.
Instead, Buffalo will now have the chance to advance to the Sweet 16 when they face the No. 5 seed Kentucky Saturday.
Fortunately for Obama, his Final Four teams are still standing for the moment.
The 44th President of the United States has Virginia, Villanova, Michigan State and North Carolina in the Final Four. Obama chose Michigan State to be the team that cuts down the nets as the 2018 men’s champions.
