In a video posted on the Obama Foundation's official YouTube page, Chance the Rapper announces his participation in former President Barack Obama's leadership summit, set to take place in Chicago on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.

Not only is the rapper planning to take the stage, but he's cited as the event's concert curator, bringing along additional musical acts like rock band The National and Gloria Estefan. He is also working with the foundation for the creative design of the event.

"As soon as I heard about the summit, I jumped at the opportunity," the rapper says in the video. "The fact that the president is jumping ahead of programming before the [Obama Presidential Center] gets built is inspiring."

The Center, which will be the presidential library of the 44th President hosted by the University of Chicago, is set to be completed by 2020 or 2021, according to the Chicago Tribune.
