Obama Will Not be Invited to The Royal Wedding And It’s All Because of Donald Trump

Barack Obama and Prince Harry share a special relationship. Despite their age difference, the two have struck up a pretty nice friendship with time spent together acting as a testament to this.

Unfortunately, Obama will not be receiving an invite for the May wedding and it is all because of Donald Trump.

While making the guest list for the wedding of the year must be a nightmare with limited spots available and the real possibility of getting into massive trouble over the failure to invite certain people, Obama has had to be sacrificed as Donald Trump himself will not be invited.

According to the Daily Mail, the 32-year-old royal won’t asking the former Democrat US President to the royal wedding following speculation an invite would be a ‘diplomatic timebomb’ if Obama was invited and Trump wasn’t.

‘President Trump will not be invited because the wedding will be for friends and family only,’ a source told the publication.

‘It won’t be a state occasion. If Mr Obama was invited, the invitation could look like a snub to Mr Trump, and His Royal Highness would not wish to cause a diplomatic row,’ the sourced added

Harry himself seems unsure as he was asked while acting as guest editor of Radio 4’s Today show last month. He said, ‘I don’t know about that,’

‘We haven’t put the invites or the guest list together yet, so who knows whether he’s going to be invited or not? I wouldn’t want to ruin that surprise.’

But from all indications it seems that the Obamas will be an unfortunate ommission from the Royal Wedding.
