Yesterday marked one year since Donald Trump was voted in as President of the United States.

This means it’s also been a year since the world became fixated on the number of Obama-Biden memes that saturated the Internet, and nearly 365 days since Obama’s eight-year Presidential term ended.

Now, the former Chief Official White House Photographer, Pete Souza, who travelled with Obama to document every trip, meeting and encounter for historical record, has released a new book containing over 300 images of the former world leader.

During his tenure, Souza captured an astounding two million photos of the President.

Since setting up a personal Instagram account in January this year, he has gained 1.6million followers and often shares his favourite photos he captured ... and occasionally throwing subtle shade at Trump.

Obama: An Intimate Portrait documents some of the most consequential hours of his Presidency coupled with candid shots of Obama and his family.

Souza, arguably the person who spent the most time with Obama during his Presidency, captions the pictures with intimate stories of the decade-long friendship the pair have shared.
