Trump’s claim of 10-foot wall around Obama home false–report

MANILA, Philippines — A report from The Washington Post debunked the recent claims of US President Donald Trump that a 10-foot wall is surrounding the Washington residence of former US President Barrack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama.

The report said that Trump made the claim through a tweet amid a “partial government shutdown, which was spurred Dec. 22 by Trump’s demand for $5 billion in funding for a U.S.-Mexico border wall.”

President and Mrs. Obama built/has a ten foot Wall around their D.C. mansion/compound. I agree, totally necessary for their safety and security. The U.S. needs the same thing, slightly larger version!

“He alleged that the ‘wall’ around the Obamas’ mansion was necessary for the former first couple’s ‘safety and security,’ adding that the United States needs ‘slightly larger version!’” the report added.

However, two of the Obama’s neighbors were surprised by Trump’s allegations as they told The Washington Post that no such wall existed.

According to the fact checker of The Washington Post, “the Obamas added security fencing to an enlarged retaining wall in front for the needs of the Secret Service” however “there is not a ten-foot wall around the house; the front steps are open to the sidewalk.” /jpv
