Qatar achieves advanced scientific rankings

Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh  Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani inaugurated yesterday 2019 Education Conference at Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC). 
The two-day event is being held under the theme ‘Education Makes a Difference’ as educational scientific platform to share local, regional and international experiences in educational field.
The opening ceremony was attended by a number of ministers, educationists, experts from inside and outside Qatar. A documentary film was screened about the educational process and the educational system and its development in Qatar.
H E the Prime Minister toured the pavilions of the students research exhibition which is being held on the sidelines of the conference and listened to a full explanation about its goals and the vital and important research issues and topics.
Addressing the opening ceremony,  Minister of Education and Higher Education H E Dr Mohammed bin Abdul Wahed Al Hammadi said the State of Qatar achieved advanced scientific rankings in the Arab region and the world in the field of Education, thanks to the continuous support of the wise leadership and guidance from HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and a results of the efforts done by students and those working in the Education field. 
The Minister said that the conference will discuss the local and global trends in the development of the educational process and quality management in education which must be sought to achieve education efficiency as stipulated by the vision of the ministry in providing permanent and innovative learning opportunities and high quality for the Qatari community.

He said the other focus of the conference will be promoting the concept of identity, its preservation and defending it, as identities are currently being attacked around the world.

He added that the large participation of Arab and non-Arab countries, as well as experts participating from within the State of Qatar in the Education Conference, proves the prestigious position of Qatar globally, which ensures the achievement of its goals.

The Minister said that Qatar achieved advanced scientific rankings in the Arab region and the world in the field of education, thanks to the continuous support of the wise leadership and guidance from Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and a results of the efforts done by students and those working in the education field.

He added that today the universal language is technology and Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education kept up with the technological development.

The Minister said the Ministry has provided all possible care to students in this field where it started to set up specialized schools and updating a high-tech track in the secondary phase, to help students compete in the areas of technology, engineering and mathematics.

The conference is being attended by about 2,500 educationists from over 25 countries. About 150 interactive sessions, workshops and seminars, some of which will be dedicated to parents on best educational practices will be held during the conference.
